UK Certificate of Competency - Engineering Management Level (III/2)
Recent Changes at MCA:
From 1st January 2017, the Second Engineer and Chief Engineer academic examinations will be combined to form Management Level III/2 academic examinations for each subject. This is to facilitate the transition from conventional Chief/ Second Engineer to Management level EKs courses in compliance with the Manila 2010 Amendments to STCW Code.

School of Marine Education (SoME) offers courses to cover the MCA’s new Management Level Academics subjects (III/2) to cover the following examinable academic subject areas:
The subject combinations from the course contents are possible during 8weeks intensive classroom teaching. We fully cover the syllabus with over 5 years of paper solutions & Mock tests.
This 8 weeks preparatory course will enable you to prepare well for the MCA/SQA exams. You will be very confident to appear in the SQA/MCA exams.
To study this course, you must have:
EOOW (III/1) or equivalent Certificate of Competency
Second Engineer (III/2) or equivalent Certificate of Competency
The necessary sea service to apply for a Notice of Eligibility for either Second or Chief Engineer

Candidate must hold a valid NOE (Notice of Eligibility) from MCA
Candidate must have the course completion certificate from the UK approved centre or course exemption letter from the MCA
Assessment & Examination Dates
External examination prepared by the SQA on behalf of the MCA
Single subject certificates are issued for passes in the academic subjects and for a combination of professional subject passes i.e. General/Motor and/or Steam
Please ensure that you complete a minimum of 5-week tuition prior to the examination of your choice
You must pass all elements of the Engineering Knowledge examinations, and within three years also pass your MCA Oral Examination* to be awarded the Certificate of Competency.

Per Unit/Subject Fee: INR 25,000/-
Multi Units Booking Discount: 4 Units X 25,000 = (INR 1,00,000 less 10% Discount) = INR 90,000/- Units X 25,000 = (INR 1,50,000 less 20% Discount) = INR 1,20,000/-
Administrative Fees = Rs. 25,000/-
